Located in East Africa on the south east of
the Indian Ocean, Kenya is named after its highest mountain, Mount Kenya. Kenya
has numerous wildlife reserves, protecting thousands of animal species and
making safaris in this region a popular and varied activity. The terrain is
also varied from mountains and forest in central Kenya and the west, with
savannah and semi arid shrub land to the south. The country is also famous for
its coffee and tea production, much of which is exported.
